Over dit evenement
We come out at night! Tonight we feast on the Queer Arts and celebrate diversity and the freedom to love and be loved as you desire. From October 1 to 31, Nijmegen will be colored rainbow during Queerious: a month full of activities, encounters, and discoveries around gender, love, identity, and visibility. Local organizations, artists, and committed residents are joining forces to create a multifaceted program that offers space to celebrate, learn, and reflect together on what it means to be yourself. From exhibitions and films to walks, drinks, theater, and in-depth conversations—there is something for everyone. Celebrate Coming Out Night together with us on October 10th during a night filled with stories, comedy and music at Lindenberg Cultuurhuis. ‘What’s the difference?’ is an intimate and thought-provoking performance about the journey through shame, being othered and coping mechanisms. Hosted by comedian Soula Notos. Crystal Hassell explores, with humor and vulnerability, how queerness, culture and community intersect. Actor and storyteller Meysam Forooz shares his coming-out story, shaped by his life in Iran. Comedian Angela Bartorillo brings a sharp and playful perspective on life as a queer millennial, a woman and a human navigating a complex world. An evening of humor, personal stories and fresh perspectives on identity and inclusivity. Feeling artsy yourself afterwards? Join us as we continue our night and head out to do some serious dancing at De Plak. Famous is De Plak for their cheeseball ("kaasgehakt"), served with delicious hand-cut fries and lots of vegetables. Notorious is…
