PALESTINIAN PERSPECTIVES in Amsterdam

Over dit evenement

ENG | Jointly presented by Humans of Film Festival (HoFF) and Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA), this programme features two short films by Palestinian actor and director Waseem Khair (b. 1986), exploring the far-reaching consequences of the Israeli occupation. In the documentary 120 Km (2021), two Palestinian artists travel to refugee camps in Lebanon, a journey that has serious repercussions upon their return to Palestine. In the drama Gaza Bride 17 (2025), a fisherman from Gaza takes his ten-year-old son out to sea for the first time. When a military vessel intercepts their boat, an ordinary day turns into a traumatic ordeal. Through documentary and fiction, Khair reveals how occupation disrupts individual lives, leaving scars that endure long after the violence itself.
