Personal Trainer’s manic indie rock has made waves at home and abroad. Their third album, ‘Human Assholes’, dropped in early September, with frontman Willem Smit using the band as his ultimate creative outlet. Growing from Amsterdam’s underground into a major high-energy act, they shifted gears for this record: acoustic guitars as a starting point, recorded live in the same room. The result is playful, unpredictable, and restless. From Lowlands and SXSW to Iceland Airwaves and a headline show at Carré, they keep moving.
