Join us on Saturday, October 10th for a full day (13:00-21:00) of Indigenous Liberation, Resistance, and Resilience focused arts, film, panel discussions, workshops, and Indigenous youth empowerment activities. This event is for all ages and families are encouraged to join with their children. Dinner will be provided for all attendees, prepared by Cafe Gilde. In addition to our main programming detailed below, "Non-Binary", an Indigenous gender identities art exhibition by Masharu Studios will be on display in the Ventilator Cafe during the event with members of the team. Full Schedule: 13:00-14:00 - Opening Ceremony & Intergenerational Intercultural Indigenous Panel 13:00-13:15 - Welcome & Opening Remarks 13:15-13:30 - Intercultural Opening Ceremony 13:30-14:00 - Opening Panel with Intergenerational & Intercultural Indigenous 14:00-15:00 - Art as Resistance in Palestine 14:00-14:15 - “Animated in War” compilation: Short Animated Films by Haneen Nofal 14:15-15:00 - "Stitching Our Stories, Weaving Our Resistance” - Tatreez Presentation by Ghenva Alkabra. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to join a practical workshop with Ghenva in the Ventilator Cafe (open 15:00-17:00).
