Over dit evenement

Does Death have a sense of humor? A father and son search for beauty in unexpected places "Not a day goes by when I don’t fantasize with Death. She is the only one that gets my jokes. But she knows she must wait. When the time comes, I will find her". — Jesús Mora After a decade confined to his bed, Jesús Mora, schoolteacher, theatre lover, professional stubborn man decides to apply for euthanasia, only recently legalized in Spain. Thousands of kilometers away, his son Dani is left with a question that’s both absurd and painfully human: How do you spend the last months with someone you love? Do you take them on a trip? Throw a goodbye party? Have them try drugs for the first time? In his debut solo storytelling show, Dani dives into his father’s writings, their conversations in those final moments, and the dark humor that kept them afloat. What begins as a son trying to understand his father becomes a funny, intimate, and unexpectedly uplifting exploration of presence, absence, and the lessons Death can teach us about life. A heartfelt, hilarious journey for anyone who’s ever loved someone or tried to. [kop3]Bio[/kop3] Dani is a storyteller and comedian from La Mancha, Spain based in Brussels. His work leans on the absurd and existential and he enjoys exploring hard subjects with a touch of lightness and dark humor. For his first solo show, Dani shares the story that shaped him most as person and performer: that of the life and death of his father. As his ‘day job’, Dani writes and performs at The Schuman Show, a unique live political satire show about the European Union that draws hundreds of fans for each new edition. He is also a graduate of the professional course of the Mezrab Storytelling School and founder of Storytelling Brussels, Belgium’s first regular storytelling event.
